The price of each product is displayed with the product. In the event of a sale or special offer, the discounted price is displayed.The quoted cost of shipping is additional and only valid for parcels within the borders of South Africa. Tariffs will be determined by the S.A. Post Office and for other countries the client has opted for. For other counties, clients will have two options - sea freight or air mail. This will also include the cost of packaging material(s).

Value Added Tax:

Value added tax at the rate of 14% is charged on goods bought by South African residents. VAT is not payable on orders if both the billing and the shipping address are international.

Import Duties:

Import duties may be payable by recipients of goods in foreign countries. Lizmar Booksdoes not know what levies may be payable and cannot calculate or estimate such costs.

Payment Methods:

Credit card payments.

At the time of placing the order, the transaction details are NOT presented to the bank. Payment is only collected when the order is completed and ready to be shipped.

Note that to protect it's own and the interests of customers, Lizmar Books scrutinizes all transactions very carefully to prevent attempted fraud and a transaction may be refused if Lizmar Booksis not satisfied with it's legitimacy.

Bank deposit payments.

The only forms of acceptable payment are by electronic transfer, direct deposit & Credit Card . In all cases, ownership of goods will transfer to the purchaser on presentation of a valid receipt and/or proof of payment.

Purchases will be dispatched for delivery after proof of payment has been received by Lizmar Books. Compliance with Section 43(1) of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act of 2002 ("ECT Act"). In compliance with section 43(1) of the ECT Act, please note the following -

Allpayments via internet transfer (EFT) or cash deposit,would be subject to the following rules:

a) the exact amount must be paid.

b) the payment must be identified by supplying the order number and surname in the reference section ofthedeposit slip or on the electronic transfer.

c) transfers may be made from ATM's

d) cheque deposits are subject to a clearing period.

e) no bank deposits are accepted from outside the borders of South Africa.

f) unpaid bank deposit orders are cancelled after five business days.

g) a cash deposit fee will be charged for direct / cash deposits

Agreements of Sale

Placing an item in a shopping basket or adding it to basket without completing the purchase cycle does not constitute an agreement of sale betweenLizmar Booksand users cannot hold Lizmar Booksliable if such items are not available when the purchase cycle is completed later; and/or constitute an order for such an item; andLizmar Booksmay remove such an item from the shopping basket or wishlist if no stock is available.

An agreement of sale between Lizmar Booksand a user only comes into effect if and when:

A) a credit card authorisation is received from the issuing bank; or

B) a deposit of an electronic transfer is reflected on Lizmar Books' bank statement (and only if such payment is received within 5 (five) business days after completion of the purchase cycle); or

C) a direct deposit is reflected on Lizmar Books' bank statement (and only if such payment is received within 5 (five) business days after completion of the purchase cycle.

Lizmar Booksreserves the right to refuse to accept and/or execute an order without giving any reasons. Lizmar Booksalso reserves the right to cancel orders in whole or in part as circumstances dictate. Lizmar Booksshall only be liable to refund monies already paid by the user.

Lizmar Booksshall take all reasonable efforts to maintain correct prices. However, should errors occur and items are offered at incorrect prices, Lizmar Bookswill not be obliged to sell goods at such incorrect prices and shall only be liable to refund monies paid.

Consumers can view or print a full record of the transaction that is maintained for a period of twelve months on the Lizmar Bookswebsite.

Stock Availability

Stocks of all goods on offer are limited as we sell USED books / out of print books . Lizmar Booksshall take all reasonable efforts to discontinue the offer as soon as stock is no longer available. However, should items still be offered after stocks are sold, Lizmar Booksshall only be liable to refund monies where it is unable to fulfill orders at advertised prices.


Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash and is not transferable or assignable.

Vouchers must be redeemed at towards the purchase of products listed in the online Lizmar Bookscatalogue.

Vouchers cannot be redeemed at any affiliate websites.

Vouchers can be used with on-site promotional offers with the exception of Free Delivery which is calculated on the total basket value after promotional vouchers and special discounts have been deducted.

Only one voucher can be used per transaction.

Vouchers cannot be redeemed with orders already placed with Lizmar Books.

Promotional vouchers are issued at Lizmar Booksown discretion.

Customers do not have a right to promotional vouchers and vouchers cannot be earned.

Vouchers can only be redeemed while they are valid and expiry dates cannot be extended. Promotional vouchers and their expiry dates are listed under "Promotional vouchers" on the site.

Vouchers cannot be redeemed on magazine subscriptions, Post Office renewals or to purchase other Gift Vouchers.

Electronic vouchers cannot be purchased together with other goods. If an electronic voucher is placed in the basket with other goods, the system will split the contents into two orders. Payment for the electronic gift voucher will be obtained from the bank immediately.

Any person that delivers or attempts to deliver any damaging code to this web site or attempts to gain unauthorised access to any page on this web site shall be prosecuted and civil damages shall be claimed in the event that kalahari suffers any damage or loss.
The user agrees and warrants that its log-in name and password shall:

be used for personal use only; and

not be disclosed to any third party.

The user allows Lizmar Books to take all reasonable steps to ensure the integrity and security of the Lizmar Books site and back-office applications.

Changes To Agreement

Lizmar Books may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.


In the event of any dispute of any nature whatsoever arising between the parties on any matter provided for in, or arising out of this agreement, and not resolved through the Customer Relations Department of Lizmar Books, then such a dispute shall be submitted to confidential arbitration in terms of the expedited rules of the Arbitration Foundation of South Africa. Lizmar Books online site is strictly its own entity and is not linked to any of the bookstoresit chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature.

Term and Termination

This agreement shall commence when the user registers on the Lizmar Books site and continues indefinitely until terminated by Lizmar Books in terms of clause 21 hereto or for any other reason.

Illustationsand pictures

We are aware that some clients only purchase our books to read them, not to add to their collection. Therefore it must be understood that pictures, photos or illutrations used with books, are only used as tools. This should not be used to detemine the date of print, edition or type of cover (hard /soft). Please contact us if this information is critical to you. We would gladly supply you with any information to ensure you are satisfied with your purchase.
